don’t violate these
Selling Rules
01
Pain first, tool last. Open with “What are the 8–10 things affecting your business right now?” Let them list the bleeding. You map the AI fit afterward.
02
Speak ROI, not jargon. Show Before (hours and dollars lost) → After (recovered). C-suites buy reclaimed time. Not “agentic workflows.”
03
Don’t automate broken processes. Simplify first, then automate. Otherwise you’re scaling chaos and they blame the AI.
04
Always show a control panel. Build a dashboard the client can monitor and override. Removes the “runaway AI” fear that kills deals.
05
Charge for discovery. A $500–$2K Audit is paid discovery. It commits them. Free strategy calls signal you’re commodity.
06
Pilot before retainer. A 30-day pilot with a defined success metric is the reference point for everything after. Skip it and you’ll lose to scope creep.
07
One vertical at a time. Build for one industry, prove ROI, productize the templates, then move to the next. Generalists lose to specialists in this market.
